  1. Dimitris’s place is in a great location at the beautiful Koukouli village. The view is excellent, the house clean, authentic, warm and cosy, and the hospitality we received was amazing! We came late in a cold autumn evening after a long day of driving and warmly welcomed by Dimitris, his mom, son and brother. The fireplace was burning and it was so nice, we couldn’t tell if it’s their home or our guest-home. They filled the kitchen with food and drinks “just to get you started” – special sweet delicatessens that sweet grandma is making, fresh bread, cake, local herbs for tea and seasoning, spices, pasta, instant coffee and coffee for the espresso machine!, milk… and the list goes on. Oh, a local liqueur that was opened for a toast :). Then we had an itinerary check with Dimitris’s brother which is a tourists guide (trekking) and knows everything you need about the area, and a brief “training” about the house and both fireplaces (open and stoves; we used both..). It was unforgettable welcome. The family does not live in the village (at least not in this season). Dimitris speaks little English but our written communication was great using (Hidden by Airbnb) translate (?) and his hospitality. His son speaks some English when needed and his brother of course speaks very well and willing to help with anything (gave us his phone number). He also rent the house next door so we got to talk to him face-to-face. We enjoyed so much our staying in the warm house with its fireplace that we felt sorry we had so many things to do in this gorgeous area. We hope the family will keep the same hospitality that we received and that you will enjoy it too.
